Where do you spend your energy on a daily basis? Work, home, exercise, TV? We utilise our energy differently in different areas in our life, sometimes we may not be aware that we exert all our energy in one place til we feel depleted.  

The key to preserve and promote our energy is through distributing a steady effort with steady attention for a steady mind in order to find balance in our energy. This applies to all areas in our life. Whether you have a 9-to-5 job, you can still find balance in your energy by giving yourself a short break every hour or so then you don't need to feel exhausted by the end of the day. If you are constantly in front of a computer, maybe you can balance your energy out by resting your eyes instead of watching TV or getting more stimulated. In a yoga class, instead of pushing through the practice maybe you can find a steady rhythm of breath and movement and resting or modifying when it's appropriate.

It's the little moments where you can preserve your energy that has the biggest impact in our day to day living. What can you do today to balance your energy?
