Seasonal change is inevitable, how do you navigate your life through the transitions of the seasons is not rocket science! As we are a part of nature and nature is in us, by aligning ourselves with nature create harmony in our life. Like increases like. The more you live in tune with nature, the more you become a part of nature and be able to move through the ebb and flow of life.
Just like there is certain produce being grown in different season, it makes sense to eat according to the changes of season. Traditional Chinese Medicine incorporates diet for the five seasons: Spring, Summer, Late Summer, Autumn and Winter. Regardless of where you live, eating seasonally is what nature intended which helps to maintain your health and energy. By focusing on eating produce seasonally, it allows your body to work closely with nature and keeps you in a healthy state of balance.

Think about all the things that you feed into your body over the last 365 days, the good (eg. nutritious diet, balance lifestyle, yoga and good sleep) and the bad (eg. toxic food and alcohol, stressors of life, lack of movement and sleep). The kind of things you do on a daily basis gives you a choice to be the kind of person you want to be. This begins with how you treat your body. You can start the cleanse at any time and perhaps the New Year is the more ideal time for you to make a change!
We all experience emotions and go through them every single day, sometimes it can be like a roller coaster ride from feeling sad to joy, angry to happy, love to fear. Especially when we experience negative emotions, we may distract or try to push them away through food, alcohol, substances or other things to numb ourselves from it. The ancient Chinese Medicine concern not only the physical body but also the subtle energetic body. The meridians health is an important aspect of the energetic body and hence can affect physical and mental health. To address any imbalances in the meridians, both Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture are used.
Life flows when chi flows. When our body gets tense and stressed, chi becomes blocked. So does our mind when it is scattered, chi goes everywhere. The goal is to have clear energy channels and promote healthy chi flow so our body and mind can digest all that is happening around us and at times of challenges in life.
